'We're innocent' says Knox in Twitter photo (ANSA) - Rome, February 12 - Amanda Knox has reiterated her assertion that she and her former Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito are not guilty of the 2007 murder of her British flatmate Meredith Kercher in Perugia.

Knox was sentenced to 28 and a half years for the murder at the repeat of an appeals trial last month and Sollecito was given 25 years in Italian's justice's fourth verdict on the case.

The American changed the profile picture on her Twitter account, @Amandu_knoxx, to a sober black-and-white image of herself with short hair holding a piece of paper with "Siamo Innocenti" - Italian for "We are Innocent" - written on it. Knox, who is living in the United States, and Sollecito remain free ahead of their appeal against the convictions to Italy's supreme court.
