Italian bishops call for 'decisive family policies' (ANSA) - Genoa, February 11 - The head of the powerful Italian bishops' conference (CEI) on Tuesday called on the government for "urgent and incisive policies" for the family. Speaking on World Day of the Sick, a feast day instituted by John Paul II, Genoa Archbishop Angelo Bagnasco said "we must have faith, raise our voice, knowing to ask for privileges for the good of society as a whole...to cure the wings of children, the elderly, the sick...so they can fly instead of crawl".
