Matteo Renzi leads Italian voter poll at 55%

The finding, conducted for the television programme Agora', is three percentage points lower than last week. The next highest approval rating went to the head of State, President Giorgio Napolitano, with 41%, followed by Premier Enrico Letta, also of the PD, with 37%. The centre-right Forza Italia (FI) party chief and three-time premier Silvio Berlusconi came in fifth, at 23%. Berlusconi was beaten by the leader of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) Beppe Grillo, favoured by 34%.
