Sicilian prosecutor suffers another 'act of intimidation' (ANSA) - Trapani, February 6 - A prosecutor in this western Sicilian city, home to fugitive Mafia chief Matteo Messina Denaro, has suffered the latest in a string of what police believe are acts of intimidation by Cosa Nostra.

Marcello Viola's office was broken into two days ago and files may have been stolen, police said Thursday.

Last year a bug was found near his office.

He also received threats along with another prosecutor.

Viola is among those closing in on Messina Denaro, who took over the Sicilian Mob when Bernardo Provenzano was caught in 2006.
