Renzi, Berlusconi discuss election law by telephone (updates previous) (ANSA) - Rome, January 28 - Democratic Party (PD) leader Matteo Renzi and centre-right leader Silvio Berlusconi still disagree on two points of their controversial proposed new election law, parliament sources said Tuesday.

The pair reached a deal on January 18 that Renzi insisted may be improved but cannot be changed significantly. In repeated phone calls Tuesday, the two leaders reportedly debated raising the minimum amount of votes a coalition must win in order to get bonus seats in parliament from 35% to 38%.
