Ex-minister De Girolamo received no probe notification
Media reports said former cabinet member under investigation28 January, 12:52
"I have received no notification of an investigation, nor an invitation to appear (before magistrates)," De Girolamo said on Italian radio.
Premier Enrico Letta accepted De Girolamo's resignation on Monday and named himself interim after she quit the cabinet at the weekend. The lawmaker from the small New Centre Right (NCD) accused the government of not defending her following the publication of transcripts of recordings of her conversations regarding appointments in the southern province of Benevento.
The wiretaps stemmed from an investigation into health-sector appointments and contracts.
