Italy seizes 130 mn euros in false and unsafe goods in 2013 (ANSA) - Rome, January 27- Italian finance police said Monday they seized a total of 130 million euros in products deemed unsafe for consumers or of falsified origin in 2013.

The seizure of goods represents a 25% increase over 2012.

In 2013, the finance police reported 9,445 people, including 252 for racketeering on suspicion that they worked for organizations dedicated to the production and sale of knock-off goods.

A total of 11,000 operations were carried out - an average of 30 per day.
