Soccer: Capello to stay on as Russia coach till 2018

The former AC Milan, Real Madrid, AS Roma, Juventus and England boss has been in charge of Russia since 2012 and led them to qualification for this year's World Cup in Brazil.
"I am grateful to the FUR president and the Russian minister of sports for the trust given to me," Capello, 67, said in a statement. "I am very pleased to continue working in Russia. We have great plans and I will do my best to make Russian football supporters happy". According to Russian media reports, under the new contract Capello's annual salary will go up to around nine million euros from five or six million.
