Mother-of-three killed by falling van (ANSA) - Milan, January 22 - A van fell off a garage ramp near Milan and crushed a mother-of-three to death Wednesday, police said.

The driver, a 36-year-old Egyptian, did not have a driving license, they said.

The man was backing the van up to load some furniture when he veered onto a metal framework that gave way.

The vehicle landed on the 45-year-old mother of seven-year-old triplets who was getting on her bike with a friend who was taken to hospital with shock.

The accident took place in the rust-belt town of Sesto San Giovanni, once a manufacturing powerhouse.
