Schumacher's condition remains stable (ANSA) - Rome, January 17 - The condition of Michael Schumacher remains "stable", Sabine Kehm, the manager of the seven-time Formula One champion, said Friday.

The Former Ferrari driver has been hospitalized in a drug-induced coma since a skiing accident December 29 in the French Alps, when he cracked his head on a rock while skiing off piste. "Michael's family have full faith in the medical team, and is very satisfied in their work," according to a statement. Kehm added that "information regarding Michael's health that does not originate from his doctors or from his management must be taken as pure speculation".

Doctors in past weeks have said he is in a critical yet stable condition, and that the legendary Ferrari driver would have died had he not been wearing a helmet when he fell while skiing with his son and a group of friends.
