Six arrested in alleged business crimes by Casalesi clan (ANSA) - Florence, January 15 - Six people were arrested and about 11 million euros in goods seized as part of a probe involving restructuring projects in such world-famous sites as Florence's Uffizi Gallery, police said Wednesday.

The six are suspected of involvement with the mafia through companies owned by the notorious Casalesi clan of the Neapolitan Camorra mafia.

Besides projects in the southern Campania region, police say suspect companies have been involved in a restructuring project of the Uffizi as well as other high-profile plans.

In all cases, clients said they were not aware the companies they had hired were linked to the Camorra mafia.
