Yield rises for second month after November's historic low

Italian Treasury places 8.5bn euros of one-year bonds (ANSA) - Rome, January 10 - The Italian Treasury on Friday successfully placed 8.5 billion euros of one-year bonds but with interest rates edging upward for the second month in a row from a record low in November.

At Friday's auction, the average yield was 0.735%, up from 0.707% in December, and 0.688% in November, when the average yield touched a historic minimum.

Demand on Friday was down compared to December.

The oversubscription ratio was 1.45 compared to 1.63 in December.
