Bourse regulator handed record of 32.6 mln in fines in 2013 (ANSA) - Milan, January 8 - CONSOB, the regulatory body for the Milan stock exchange, said Wednesday that a total of 32.6 million euros in sanctions had been handed down in 2013, compared with some 9.26 million the previous year. Surveillance activities also increased over the past year, while more or less the same number of inspections were carried out, it said in its first newsletter of the year. A spending review continues for the third consecutive year, with 121.19 million euros cut from overall planned expenditure (-0.7%, compared with -3.4% in 2013 from 2012).
