Job Act to provide 'guarantees', Renzi says (ANSA) - Florence, January 7 - The promotion and defence of 'Made in Italy' production will be one of the areas to benefit from a package of employment policy proposals announced by the Democratic Party (PD), party Secretary Matteo Renzi said Tuesday. Other areas to get a boost from the so-called Job Act include innovation, the tourism and culture industries and traditional manufacturing, the Florence mayor added.

The package of proposals, which will also allegedly tackle the "cost of bureaucracy", is to be presented no later than the start of next week. The aim is to provide "guarantees to those who have never had them and who have had to pay for delays by politicians over the last 20 years", Renzi said.

"Unfortunately workers are divided between those who have guarantees, even if these are called into question, and those who have never had them," he concluded.
