Schumacher undergoes second surgery after ski fall (ANSA) - Grenoble, December 30 - Doctors in France operated overnight on seven time-world Formula One champion Michael Schumacher for a second time following serious head trauma from a skiing accident on Sunday, French daily Le Dauphiné Liberé reported Monday. Schumacher, who won five consecutive titles with Italy's Ferrari, was skiing with his son in the French Alps when he fell and cracked his head on a rock. Doctors working to prevent permanent brain injury say a helmet likely saved his life. The retired German driver has been in a coma and in critical condition since the fall.
