Flat of Kercher murder up for sale amid Knox trial (ANSA) - Perugia, December 17 - The Perugia house in which the brutal murder of British exchange student Meredith Kercher took place has been put up for sale for 460,000 euros.

A sign is up in front of the property advertising it. The move comes while Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito stand trial in Florence for the murder.

American Knox has said she was not attending the trial because she was "afraid". She and Sollecito spent four years in prison, including their custody prior to the first trial, in which they were convicted murder in 2009. An appeals court later overturned those convictions in 2011, but the supreme court ordered a new appeals-level trial earlier this year. A decision is expected January 10.
