Doctor of Camorra crime boss sentenced to 2 years' jail term (ANSA) - Naples, December 27 - The doctor of boss Michele Zagaria, who heads the Casalesi criminal organization, has been sentenced on Friday to two years in jail for aiding and abetting his patient. Doctor Enrico Parente, who is also the former mayor of the town of Grazzanise, in the province of Caserta, in 2009 travelled to Innsbruck, in Austria, to provide medical treatment to Zagaria who at the time was on the run. He was later arrested, in December 2011. Investigators came to know of the trip to Austria through wiretaps that had been put in place on the doctor's phone a few days previous to his trip due to his car having been shot at. Prosecutors had requested Parente be sentenced to four years in jail, citing the gravity of his actions.
