Home prices fell in 2012, first half of 2013, says bank (ANSA) - Rome, December 13 - The value of Italian family homes fell last year, a decline that continued in the first six months of 2013, the Bank of Italy said Friday.

By the end of 2012, total value of homes had fallen by 3.9% to 4.832 billion euros, and tumbled another 1.8% to 4.745 billion euros in the first half of this year, the central bank said.

These declines were the first recorded since 1995, it added.
