Soccer 'ultras' in movement causing widespread disruption11 December, 14:43
Hardcore Italian 'ultra' soccer fans are among a variety of disenchanted groups taking part in the anti-tax, anti-government Pitchfork protests, which are in their third day and have caused widespread disruption.
The clashes occurred after around 20 Ajax fans got off a bus that had been held up by the protesters and started to insult them. Police intervened to break up the fighting and took note of the identities of around 10 of the Ajax fans. No one was badly hurt in the scuffles.
Milan need a draw in their last group-stage game on Wednesday to be sure of reaching the knockout round of the Champions League.
The seven-time European champions are second in Group H, two points behind leaders Barcelona and one point ahead of third-placed Ajax.
