Letta confirms attendance at Mandela service (ANSA) - Milan, December 9 - Italian Premier Enrico Letta on Monday confirmed that he will be in South Africa on Tuesday for Nelson Mandela's memorial service.

United States President Barack Obama, French President Francois Hollande and British Prime Minister David Cameron will also be among those attending Tuesday's service at a Soweto stadium.

"Tomorrow I'll be in Johannesburg to pay Italy's tribute to Nelson Mandela," Letta said. Over 100 current or former heads of state or government are to attend either Tuesday's memorial or Sunday's state funeral for the former South African president and anti-apartheid leader.
