Genoa train station occupied in 'pitchfork' protest (see related) (ANSA) - Genoa, December 9 - Roughly 100 people occupied the rails of a major train station in Genoa Monday, blocking traffic as part of the so-called Pitchfork (Forconi) Movement to halt transportation in a number of cities in Italy.

Protesters at the Genova Brignole station, many of whom were hooded, were shouting anti-government slogans.

Rail lines were also blocked in the nearby city of Imperia and surrounding tows of Diano Marina and Arma di Taggia.
