European markets rise, paced by Milan
Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid also gain, while London bucks trend31 October, 20:10
The yield spread between 10-year Italian bonds and the German benchmark equivalent, a barometer of Italy's borrowing costs in the eurozone crisis, closed at 246 points with 10-year yields at 4.1%.
The Frankfurt Dax bourse gained 0.3% at 9,033, while the Paris Cac 40 Index advanced 0.6% to 4,299 points. Madrid's Ibex index increased 1.3% to 9,907 points. London's Ftse-100 stock market meanwhile bucked the trend, dropping 0.7% to 6,731 points.
