Italy aiming for 12 consecutive months of growth - Letta

"Our aim is to achieve 12 consecutive months of growth and to do that we need to continue on the road of fiscal consolidation," Letta told Wall Street investors. He added that his government will appoint in the next few days a commissioner for a review of public spending to highlight areas for possible savings - similar to an operation carried out by his predecessor Mario Monti's emergency technocrat administration.
During his visit to Wall Street, Letta rang the opening bell to kick off the day's trading.
