Ritchie set to shoot Man from U.N.C.L.E. in Pozzuoli
1960s cult TV big-screen reboot stars Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer23 September, 20:01
The picture began filming in London at the weekend and after Pozzuoli is set to move north of Rome to Caprarola's Palazzo Farnese, used by Francis Ford Coppola in Godfather 3.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E is based on the popular 1964-'68 series about US and Russian agents working together for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.).
Henry Cavill is starring as secret agent Napoleon Solo in the revival of the TV show, which originally starred Robert Vaughan as Solo and David McCallum as his Soviet counterpart Ilya Kuryakin.
The Lone Ranger's Armie Hammer plays Kuryakin and Hugh Grant the pair's boss Waverley.
Ritchie shot to fame with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998. His other films include Sherlock Holmes, Revolver, Snatch and Swept Away, a flop starring then wife Madonna.
