Aqaba stars at International Muslim Entrepreneurs' Summit

Mahadin headed a delegation from Aqaba including Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), Aqaba International Industrial Estate, Aqaba National Real Estate Projects Company.
The Jordanian delegation also included Jordan Chamber of Commerce represented by its Chairman Nael Kabariti.
A twin-city agreement between Aqaba and Shizuishan of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was signed to enhance levels of cooperation in different fields, including the energy sector, and to better enable the private sectors in both cities to establish stronger business ties and exchange knowledge and experience between parties.
‪ During his visit, Mahadin conducted a number of meetings with Chinese officials, including the country's deputy economy minister, the mayor of Yinchuan and local council officials during which he urged them to form a team that would insure cooperation between Aqaba and Yinchuan on different sectors.
Mahadin also stressed on the importance of capitalizing on the Chinese experience in urban planning and development of Chinese cities and development zones.
He expressed great appreciation for the Chinese industries and rentable energy technologies.
He expressed his desire and commitment to develop means of cooperation between Aqaba and Yinchuan and China in general by establishing an industrial hub for Chinese industries and investments in the Aqaba development zone and work on increasing cooperation in the fields of logistics services, transportation and encourage the private sectors from both countries to enter strategic partnerships. ‪ Mahadin spoke of the strategic importance of Aqaba ports for the national Jordanian economy as a transport and logistics gateway to the Red Sea and highlighted that the "investment incentives and competitive business climate it enjoys" reflect numerous investment opportunities Aqaba has to offer in the fields of tourism, real estate, transport and logistics, as well industry.
‪Mahadin met with a number of high level delegates representing other Arab countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Korea, Malaysia, Kuwait and the Arab Emirates, all participating in the international event and conducted business meetings with prominent investors interested in exploring Aqaba's great potential.
‪The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR) is an autonomous region of the People's Republic of China located in the northwest part of the country.
Ningxia, has a Muslim majority population and proudly hosts this great international event.
‪ ‪Yínchuān is the capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and the former capital of the Western Xia Empire of the Tanguts.
It has an area of 4,467 km (2,776 mi) and a total population of 1.99 million, including 1 million 290,170 urban inhabitants spread over three districts. It is a cultural and economic hub and is famous for its desert, lakes and a great location connecting Asia and Europe. King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in China Saturday to begin his visit at the invitation of the President of China, Xi Jinping.
On Monday, King Abdullah II held a meeting with the chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Yu Zhengsheng, in Yinchuan City, China. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Jordan and China in the areas of industry, investment and trade according to Petra News.
Afterward, King Abdullah attended the opening of the first edition of the China-Arab States Expo in Yinchuan City - an event created to promote trade between China and the Arab states.
