Ex-premier Amato appointed to Constitutional Court (ANSA) - Rome, September 12 - President Giorgio Napolitano has named two-time Italian premier Giuliano Amato as a justice of the Constitutional Court, a statement by the head of State's office said Thursday. Amato, an centre-left politician and academic who is an expert in constitutional law, had two brief stints as premier, in 1992-1993 and 2000-2001.
