(ANSA) - Naples, August 28 - A pregnant woman shot in the
head in a shooting spree outside Naples has survived the night
along with her unborn child, doctors reported Wednesday.
Carolina Sepe, 25, was among five family members shot late
Sunday, including her father who died from his wounds.
She is in her 10th week of pregnancy.
An unemployed security guard in the town of Lauro told
police Tuesday that he "lost his head" before he went on the
murderous rampage against his neighbours to "settle a score".
A fight over road access appears to have been the last
straw in longstanding tensions between the shooter, Domenico
Aschettino, and the Sepe family.
Aschettino reportedly also fired three bullets into the
abdomen of Sepe's 21-year-old son, and hit Sepe's mother-in-law
in the leg.
