U.S. 'anxious' to work with new Italian government (ANSA) - New York, March 22 - The US government on Friday said it is "anxious" to work together with the new Italian government that still has to be formed after the outcome of the February 24-25 elections resulted in a hung parliament. President Barack Obama's administration "is waiting anxiously to collaborate with the new government," a State Department spokesman said. "We are closely monitoring developments," he added in reference to Italian President Giorgio Napolitano who promised to announce Friday how to proceed with the new government formation.
