Ridley Scott filming Vatican series in Rome
'Pilot ready in 5-6 weeks' says director

(ANSA) - Rome, March 22 - Ridley Scott is slated to film a
TV series in Rome based on the Vatican, the Hollywood director
said Friday while in the Eternal City.
"I will be here for six weeks," said the British-born
director. "I was holding out for the rain to stop".
The story is by Paul Attanasio, the screenwriter for the
popular TV show House, and it follows an American archbishop.
Among other films, Scott is well-known for The Gladiator,
which was also filmed and set in Rome.
