6 arrested in amateur cycling doping probe
25 under investigation, raids from Tuscany to Calabria

(ANSA) - Florence, March 22 - Italian police on Friday
arrested six people accused of involvement in illegal doping of
amateur cyclists across Italy.Some 25 people were placed under investigation and raids were carried out in Tuscany, Lazio, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia and Calabria.
Doping, trafficking in illegal substances, abusing places in the medical profession and fraud against the State were among the possible charges, police said.
