Pope thanks Muslims for 'love of God'
New pontiff continues inter-faith outreach

(ANSA) - Vatican City, March 20 - Pope Francis greeted and
thanked Muslims for their love of God at a meeting with
religious representatives in the Clementine Hall on Wednesday.The newly elected Pope Francis told attendees that he appreciated "Muslims who worship God as living and merciful, and whom you call upon in prayer, all of you". "I appreciate your presence and see it as a willingness to grow in mutual respect and cooperation for the common good," he told inter-faith representatives including non-Catholic Christians and non-Christian religious delegates.
