Italian policeman kills self inside prosecutor's office

(ANSA) - Locri, March 20 - An Italian policeman killed
himself Wednesday inside the general prosecutor's office in the
southern city of Locri.
Officer Alfredo Modica, 48, shot himself in the heart and
died immediately.A husband and father of two, he left behind a note apologizing for his suicide without explaining a motive. He was one of two officers in Italy who killed themselves on Wednesday. A Carabiniere paramilitary officer, Bruno Luraghi, shot himself in the head at a barracks in the northern city of Udine.
