(ANSA) - Bolzano, March 20 - Pope Francis wrote the preface to a thriller novel before he became pope.
In 2009, the then archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, wrote the introduction to the historical novel Paul of Tarsus and the Letters of Fire (Paolo di Tarso e le lettere infuocate) by Italian author and professor Umberto Mondini.
In it, the future St Paul uncovers a series of murders by a secret sect in first-century Jerusalem.
The proceeds went towards the construction of an elementary school in the impoverished Chaco region in Argentina.
