Carabiniere policeman commits suicide in Udine
Officer apologised in letter but gave no explanation

(ANSA) - Udine, March 20 - An officer belonging to Italy's
Carabinieri paramilitary police force committed suicide at a
barracks in the northern city of Udine on Wednesday.Bruno Luraghi, a 57-year-old native of Milan, shot himself in the head after entering his office at the barracks at around 8am local time.
Luraghi left behind a letter in which he apologised for killing himself, without explaining why he had done so, and asked to be cremated.
