Italian export figures 2012 up for country's islands
Sicily and Sardinia see increase compared to 2011

(ANSA) - Rome, March 13 - The Italian regions that
contributed most to the nation's 2012 export growth are the
country's two main islands of Sicily and Sardinia, a report by
statistics agency Istat said on Wednesday.The northern region of Lombardy increased exports by 3.7% compared to 2011, Tuscany 6.9%, Emilia-Romagna 3.1%.
Exports from the island of Sicily rose 21.2% and Sardinia 21.5% from the previous year.
