(ANSA) - Buenos Aires, March 13 - In the Argentine capital,
an explosion of joy greeted the news that Cardinal Jorge Mario
Bergoglio has been elected the Roman Catholic Church's new pope.The first Latin American to be pope, he will call himself Francis I. The news filled the front page of leading daily newspaper Clarin. "The new pope is the Argentine Jorge Bergoglio and his name will be Francis I", was the headline.
