Soccer: Gasperini quits Palermo

Sicilians bottom of Serie A after home loss to Siena

(ANSA) - Palermo, March 11 - Palermo coach Gian Piero Gasperini quit Monday after Sunday's 2-1 home defeat to Siena left the Sicilians bottom of Serie A.

A statement from the club said Gasperini had "rescinded his contract".
