Rat poison found in Italian lettuce in Germany
Five boxes from batch of 110 have reportedly been sold

(ANSA) - Berlin, March 8 - Authorities in Germany have
sounded a health alarm after a batch of lettuce imported from
Italy was found to be contaminated by rat poison.The authorities said 105 of the 110 boxes of lettuce that made up the batch has been destroyed, but the five others have apparently already been sold.
There have been no reported cases of people getting sick because of the contaminated lettuce.
