166 'fake poor' cited in Sicily

(ANSA) - Siracusa, March 7 - Italian police on Thursday cited
166 people in a town near Siracusa in Sicily for falsely
claiming municipal benefits meant for the poor.Two employees of the town council at Priolo Gargallo were cited for fraud.
The 166 are accused of falsely declaring very low incomes in order to get poverty subsidies.
