Cardinal O’Malley says doesn't expect to be elected pope (ANSA) - Rome, March 5 - Boston Archbishop Sean O'Malley, considered by many to be a possible candidate to succeed Benedict XVI, on Tuesday said he did not expect to be elected pope.

In a joint press conference with Cardinal Daniel DiNardo earlier in the day, when a reporter asked what he would do with his Capuchin habit if elected pope, O'Malley answered: "I have worn this habit for 40 years and I think I will wear it until I die. I don't expect to become pope," he said.
