Benedict's coat of arms removed from St Francis Basilica

(ANSA) - Assisi, March 5 - Friars at the St. Francis
Basilica in Assisi removed Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI's coat of
arms from the facade on Tuesday.A new coat of arms will be prepared by the Basilica's eldest friar, Father Vladimiro Penev, in preparation for the Benedict's successor - something he has already done for four other popes.
