(ANSA) - Rome, March 4 - As Catholic delegations, pilgrims,
and the world's media arrive in Rome ahead of the conclave to
elect a new pope, savvy entrepreneurs are jumping on the
business possibilities.Ads for rental apartments, balconies for photographers seeking the perfect shot, restaurants and meetings rooms are all springing up on the Internet as Rome prepares for a papal conclave that could begin next week.
Many advertisements promise prime locations near the Vatican and options including women's only rentals, apartments that are sure to be spacious and bright and rooms near a metro stop.
Some are even offering to rent space in their own homes, in order to cash in on the relatively rare papal election.
The price range seems to have something for everyone, from as low as 50 euro per day to share space, to as much as 8,000 euros for an apartment for the duration of conclave.
