Parish pizzeria opens in Italy for recession-hit needy (ANSA) - Padua, March 4 - A Catholic church in Italy has opened up a pizza parlour inside the parish to serve low-priced food during the recession. With the help of 80 volunteers, the Church of the Risen Christ in Padua offers the food to families at "anti-crisis prices," according to a flier.

The cooks underwent special training by professional pizza makers and offer a variety of pizzas found in traditional pizzerias, local reports say. (photo: archive picture of pizza maker)
