Bond spread opens higher than Friday at 348 basis points
Yield also increases to 4.86%

(ANSA) - Rome, March 4 - The yield spread between Italian
10-year bonds and their benchmark German equivalent opened
higher on Monday at 348 basis points than Friday's increased
closing of 340, up from 327 on Thursday.Treasury bonds also increased slightly, opening at 4.86%, up from 4.79% on Friday.
The bond spread is a key indicator of investor confidence in Italy's ability to service its considerable public debt.
