27 February, 15:49
Turin online prostitution ring bust (ANSA) - Turin, February 27 - Eight people were arrested on Wednesday in Turin for running an online prostitution ring.

Investigators allege that an Italian and Romanian racket advertised prostitutes on the internet and forced them to stamp a "virtual card" with every sexual service performed. The women allegedly had to call their "employers" who clocked the time spent with clients and revenue received.

Those arrested face charges for exploitation of prostitution, receiving of stolen goods and theft.

Among those under investigation is also the person who prepared the women's photographs.
