Italian 10-year bonds soar at auction
Reach highest level since October amid political uncertainty

(ANSA) - Rome, February 27 - The interest on 10-year Italian
bonds soared to 4.83%, its highest level since October, in a
hotly awaited Treasury auction on Wednesday after Italy's
general election failed to produce a clear winner. The interest
rate on five-year bonds went up to 3.59%, compared to 2.93% at
the last equivalent auction.
