Carew arrived in Milan Tuesday for a medical ahead of joining
Inter as a free agent until the end of the season."It's a great opportunity," said the big centre-forward, contacted after Inter lost Diego Milito to a season- and perhaps career-ending injury. Powerful in the air but also an unusually sharp ball player for such a tall man - 1.97 m (6 ft 5 1⁄2 in) - the half-Ghanaian Carew scored 24 goals for Norway between 1998 and 2011.
His former clubs include Valencia, Roma, Besiktas, Lyon, Aston Villa, Stoke City and West Ham.
