Police bust Naples Camorra drug trafficking ring
Suspects alleged to buy cocaine directly from Colombia

(ANSA) - Naples, February 26 - Police on Tuesday arrested 11
people for alleged international drug trafficking activities
linked to a local Camorra mafia clan in the southern region of
Campania.Over 300kg of cocaine and more than 10,000 ecstasy and ephedrine tablets were also seized in the operation and two clandestine drug laboratories were sequestered. Investigators have linked the alleged drug trafficking activities to the Amato-Pagano mafia clan, which is believed to have purchased cocaine directly from a paramilitary organisation in Colombia. In total 90 people have been placed under investigation in relation to the case.
