(ANSA) - Rome, February 26 - Next Monday, the habits
designed and made for the new pope will be put on display in the
windows of Gammarelli, the central Rome tailor which has
supplied inauguration attire to eight popes. At first, the idea was to display the new habit during the final days of Benedict XVI's papacy, said the owners of the store just a stone's throw from the famous Pantheon.
However, as a "sign of respect" to the outgoing pope, the firm decided to wait until Monday to display the new habits.
February 28 is Benedict's last day as pope.
