Regional polls see rise in ballot casters

Voter turnout for Italian national elections lower than 2008 (ANSA) - Rome, February 25 - As Italians start their second day of voting in the country's national elections, the turnout from day one was 7% less compared to 2008. Regional turnout instead was 9% higher than 2008.

Monday begins the country's second and final day of voting with the polls closing at 3pm around Italy. Bad weather, including snow in the north and rain in the south, continue to trouble voters as they make their way to the polls on Monday.
